MELODIES COMMUNITY CHORUS

The project:
MELODIES is a community chorus that brightens and builds relationships for people living with dementia and their caregivers through the power of music.
My role:
First and foremost - this project would not have been possible with out the passion and dedication of my sister, Sara. She learned about a group in Minneapolis called Giving Voices Chorus and immediately knew Des Moines needed a supportive space like theirs for people with dementia and their loved ones. Our drive for this project was powered by our endless memories of singing, snapping and dancing to music with our mother.
As the Marketing Volunteer I created the identity for Melodies. First I started by landing on the name of "Melodies" then continued to design a logo, color scheme, promotional materials and website. I continue to update the website with documentation of our practices and blog posts.
